Blessed Art Thou...

In the Jewish Law one is advised to proclaim at least 100 blessings a day, while each benediction starts with those words: "Blessed Art Thou, Lord, our God, King of the universe..."  One of such blessings in the morning starts the Jewish day with "Blessed Art Thou, Lord, our God, King of the universe, who has not created me a woman".

 

Dresstelling agrees that being woman is a challenging and adventurous. Thus, Dresstelling praises the Divine for  Her creating us women. But then - hey: One is not born, but rather becomes, a woman! (Thanks, Simone...) So Dresstelling again praises the Divine for creating us girls.
